Hi Friends,
Just wanted to add my two cents worth on the Bi-Pap machines and mask. I have a Res Med also and mine sounds a lot like the one that Di described. Mine has a feature that allows you up to 20 minutes before the pressure increases so that you can fall asleep naturally. Now that I am accustomed to the Bi-PAP, I cannot imagine sleeping without it.
The mask which I use is the Ultra-Mirage nasal mask. It is lightweight and seems to fit comfortably without any leaks. I really appreciate this because some of the masks I have used in the past had trouble with leaking air. This mask also features two forehead rests which takes some of the pressure off of the nose. I highly recommend this mask for comfort and quiet operation. The way the mask is set up helps to silence some of the noise from the air pressure so this also enhances sleep.
There you have it Terrance...my two cents worth!
Your forever friend,
Barbara
